Imperial War Museum, Duxford is situated on an airfield near the village of Duxford in Cambridgeshire, England and is a branch of a national British museum organisation which has properties at five locations in England, three of which are in London.

The Duxford branch houses the Imperial War Museum's large exhibits, including nearly two hundred aircraft, military vehicles, artillery and minor naval vessels in seven main exhibitions buildings which include hangars dating from the First World War.

The site also provides storage space for the museum's other collections of material such as film, photographs, documents, books and artefacts and a restoration facility.

This website describes and illustrates a visit to the museum in 2013.   It is acknowledged here that most comments and information regarding the photographs (the majority of which are copyright and, unless otherwise mentioned, were taken by the author of this website) are mainly derived from Wikipedia and, occasionally, from various IWM sites and printed material. Other sources are acknowledged within the text.

The website is divided into separate pages relating to the various exhibition areas.  Links to those and other pages may be seen in the left hand column above.

Any comments or suggestions that you may care to make about the site will be much appreciated.   Please click here to view the Guest Book
